Other ways to pick up new vocabularies for your ESL students?!

Well, we all buy things we want and need and play when we get bored, right?

Does going to the grocery store truly help your ESL students learn new words? Yes! Students who pay attention to packaging and product descriptions on boxes and bags will expand their sensory and value vocabulary.

Try playing Scrabble or another word game with a native speaker for a true challenge. If they buy the program for a low fee, your ESL students may use the teacher function, which displays the highest-scoring word the player might have played on each round. Though your ESL students will still need to look them up in a dictionary, they will be utilizing terms like za, jo, qi, and id before they realize it. But be warned: scrabble will give any player, native or not, a run for their money.
